so anyway, this is useful, this time of year:

Her advice actually works; I shortened a set of the doG-Damned "icicle lights" and now have a custom set of lights to string across the facade.  Which means they won't work next year... I spent the evening hours finishing the outside lights in a freezing drizzle.  I know what electricity tastes like.  I'm really surprised that we don't hear of more electrocutions this time of the year. more soon
