Katie Couric to Anchor CBS?

So CBS is thinking about hiring Katie Couric to replace Dan Rather in the anchor chair of the CBS Evening News. Is this their way of saying we don't give a rats ass about Red America? Apparently so. Replacing one rabid Democrat with another is sheer idiocy if CBS is trying to "clean up" their image of being a partisan news outlet. Or, maybe they're just going to admit a left-leaning bias and go with it, but I doubt it. They think that we"regular people" don't know what's going on and that Rathergate lives on the Conservative blog-o-sphere only. I can't wait to see how they report the super-majority the Republicans gain in the Senate in two years. Their analysis is sure to be humorously clue-less.
