Best City Council Meeting EVAH!

We need more of this kind of thing to happen...and soon

so anyway, SSP2.0 reader (and friend IRL) NEO*, e-mails the "feel good" vid of the week:

As NEO* put it:

"...9 minute video - long story short, after a disabled vet addresses city council regarding firearms and, after being asked, admits he is indeed carrying a concealed weapon one councilman tries to have him removed -motion defeated - said councilman storms off in a hissy fit and then mayor lectures the other weenie who voted yes on the motion to remove armed individual on their oath to uphold the Constitution.Good video!..."
And now for the show:

This all occurred in Oak Harbor, Washington.  The Mayor's name is Scott Dudley (contact info at the link...I'm lookin' at YOU, Thayrone**), his four year term as Mayor started on 01JAN12.  Put his name if your "tickle file" and maybe toss him a couple of bucks in 2015.

more soon

* He was NEO decades before "The Matrix" came out, so all you "Matrix" fan-bois need not get your panties in bunch

**@ Thayrone; you could always have Matt Clark do the leg-work

Thanks for the shout out.

I wasn't ready to tackle a 'Jeopardy' category on Jeff Cooper so I clicked the Wiki link.
I think the Jack Holes that are trying to take away our rights need to read some of his stuff...

Some good quotes on Wiki:
"The rifle is a weapon. Let there be no mistake about that. It is a tool of power, and thus dependent completely upon the moral stature of its user. It is equally useful in securing meat for the table, destroying group enemies on the battlefield, and resisting tyranny. In fact, it is the only means of resisting tyranny, since a citizenry armed with rifles simply cannot be tyrannized."

"The rifle itself has no moral stature, since it has no will of its own. Naturally, it may be used by evil men for evil purposes, but there are more good men than evil, and while the latter cannot be persuaded to the path of righteousness by propaganda, they can certainly be corrected by good men with rifles."
